N scale NSW 2CM freight bogie fitted with 36″ metal wheelsets, 2 pair in black.
The NSW 2CM freight bogie has long been a tough item to model for N scalers, with its distinctive shape hard to substitute with bogies from the major American N scale manufacturers. This is no longer the case, with a plentiful supply of N scale 2CM bogies now available for purchase in either black or blue, fitted with our proven reliable 36″ metal wheelsets. These bogies were commissioned as part of our first N scale rolling stock offering, the CDY, NOCY and ROCY open wagons.

- Dimensions of mounting hole:
- Inside diameter: ~3.1mm
- Outside diameter: ~5.9mm
- Fitted with 36″ metal wheelsets
- Suits 0.540″ axle width, same standard as Gopher Models and Micro-Trains bogies as well as other brands
- Based on NMRA and Australian N Scale standards
- Runs on Code 40, 55, 80 etc.

The NSW 2CM freight bogie was fitted to a wide range of NSW freight wagons (please reference the list below), some derivatives of which are still in service today! Whilst they were predominantly painted black, in the PTC era a number were painted blue, hence we also have them available in blue!

- OCY/NQOY – 63ft container flat wagon
- PRY/NPRY – cement hopper
- WTY/NGTY – wheat hopper
- MGFH – flour hopper, fitted with bogie almost identical to NSW 2CM
- or any other vehicle with code ending in ‘Y’.
Should you wish to model the less common ‘2CN’ version of the 2CM bogie, where the 36″ wheelsets were swapped out to 33″ wheelsets, just let us know and we are happy to supply this version. This version of bogie was fitted to the JCW 80ft container flat wagon and other vehicle codes ending in ‘W’. We can also supply these bogies without metal wheelsets on request.
