The smallest effective speaker for DCC sound!
Micro speakers are suitable for numerous N scale locomotives where space comes at a premium. Paired with a custom or supplied enclosure, this speaker produces sound with excellent volume and clarity. Unlike other micro cube type speakers available on the market today, this speaker is the now out of production Star Micronics SCP-08B 12x8mm driver, which produces bass frequencies to a greater extent than any other commercially available micro cube style speakers. Please note however, that due to its size and lower wattage this speaker will not perform as well as larger speakers. If you can fit a larger speaker, we would highly recommend doing so.
*Please note that colour and appearance of enclosures may vary ever so slightly as they are 3D printed.
If more length is available, the 16x9mm OWS Speaker offers a higher sound output at the same width and height.
0.25W – 8 Ohm output
Frequency range: 300Hz ~ 10kHz
This speaker is best paired with the smallest of Zimo or ESU sound decoders. It can also suit sound decoders from Digitrax, NCE, Soundtraxx etc.
